Oto-Tip Electric Earwax Cleaner

How to Maintain Good Hearing Health

Your hearing health is one of the most important things about your body. We take hearing for granted. Imagine if you started to lose your hearing. Major changes would have to occur in your life. Following these precautionary steps will help lower your chance of hearing loss caused by physical damage and environmental factors such as loud noises. According to the CDC, hearing loss is the third most common physical condition in the U.S. It is above diabetes and cancer.

Avoid Loud Noises

It’s no secret that long-term exposure to loud noises will damage your hearing. If your workplace is a loud environment, your employer should provide means of ear protection. You can even wear earmuffs or earplugs at concerts to help protect your ears from the loud music and crowd. When listening to music, keep the volume low. Always remember to take breaks if you feel your ears need a breather.

Maintain a Healthy Lifestyle

Eating a good diet and exercising will do more for you than better your hearing health, but it is a good place to start if you are concerned about hearing loss. Visit your doctor regularly to check on your health. Remove earwax properly by visiting your doctor, or for everyday cleaning, use the Clear Ear Oto-Tip. Do not put sharp objects into your ear including cotton swabs. This could damage your ear canal and eardrum (which are needed for hearing!).

Remember the early signs of hearing loss – hearing muffled speech and sounds and overall difficulty hearing your surroundings. Your Doctor can help you!
